John
Edward Fallon

John
was a life-long Grayson County, Texas resident, born in the Pecan Grove
community in Grayson County, the son of Patrick Francis Fallon and Mary
Elizabeth Fallon. He died at a local hospital in Sherman, Texas after a long
illness.
John married Miss Elizabeth Amelia Roeder in 1925 in Sherman.
He was a farmer-stockman and a member of St
Mary’s Catholic Church in Sherman.
Left to cherish his
memories, he was survived by his wife; three sons, Bill Fallon of Dorchester,
Charles Fallon of Sherman and Edward Fallon of Farmers Branch, Texas; six
daughters, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Horak, Mrs. Florence Day, Mrs. Joseph Klumpyan
and Mrs. Sarah “Sally” Margaret McCullough, all of Sherman, Mrs. Johnye Jeanette
Henderson of Houston, Texas and Miss Delia Fallon of Dorchester, Texas; three
sisters, Mrs. Genevieve O’Hagan, Miss Mary Fallon and Miss Kitty Fallon, all of
Sherman; 28 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Rosary was
recited at Waldo Funeral Chapel, Sherman, by Monsignor Robert Forliti, pastor of
St. Mary’s.
Requiem Mass was celebrated at St. Mary’s Church, Monsignor
Forliti the celebrant.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of
Waldo Funeral Home.
On obituary was published in the local Sherman
Democrat newspaper on 28 October 1967.
Elizabeth
Amelia Roeder Fallon

Mrs.
Fallon was born in Grayson County, Texas the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth
Roeder. She died at a local hospital in Sherman, Texas.
On 16 February
1925 she wed John Edward Fallon, who preceded her in death in 1967. She lived in
Dorchester, Texas, most of her life and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, in
Sherman.
She was survived by her sons, Bill Fallon of Dorchester, and
Edward Fallon of Farmers Branch, Texas; daughters, Mary Fallon Horak, Florence
Fallon Day and Sally Fallon McCullough, all of Sherman, Etta Fallon Klumpyan of
San Antonio, Texas, Johnye “Net” Fallon Henderson of Houston, Texas, and Delia
Fallon of Dorchester; brother, Charles Roeder of Valley View, Texas; sisters,
Mary Schmidtz of Valley View, Lena Dodson and Annie Davies, both of Sherman; 31
grandchildren; and 23 great grandchildren.
Rosary was recited at the
Waldo Funeral Home Chapel, Sherman.
Mass of Christin Burial was celebrated by
the Rev. John Fowler, at St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Funeral arrangements
were under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home.
An
