Florence was
born in Dorchester, Texas, the daughter of John Edward and Elizabeth Amelia
Fallon. She died peacefully at her home in Sherman, Texas. On 31 January
1953, she wed Joe Ralph Day Sr. at Saint Mary's Catholic
Church, Sherman. Florence and Joe were blessed with five
children. Florence was a devoted Catholic, Mother, Grandmother and Great
Grandmother. She will be deeply missed by her loving family and
friends. Florence is preceded in death by husband Joe Ralph Day Sr., as
well as her parents, brothers Bill and Charlie Fallon and her sisters Mary Dent Horak and Jeanette
Henderson. She is succeeded in life by sisters Sally
McCullough, Etta Klumpyan and Delia Fallon and brother Edward Fallon, also her
five children, Debby Thomas, Becky Pratt, Patty Bell, Joe Day Jr. and Matt Day,
14 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Rosary was recited by Deacon John LeBlanc at Waldo Funeral Home
Chapel. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic
Church with Rev. Jeremy Myers officiating, with Rev. Antonio Aureus
co-celebrating and Deacon Tomas Avila assisting. The Knights of Columbus
provided the pallbearers. Funeral arrangements were provided by Waldo Funeral Home,

Joe graduated
from Gunter High School and Gainesville Junior College and attended East Texas
State University, all in Texas. On 31 January 1953, he married Miss
Florence Fallon at St Mary's Catholic Church, Sherman, Texas. A U.S. Army
veteran he served from 1954 to 1956 during the Korean conflict. Joe was
employed by Texas Instruments for 19 years and retired in 1991 as an
electromechanical technician. He was a member of St.
Mary's Catholic Parish, Sherman. He was survived by his wife;
sons, Joe Ralph Day Jr. of Sherman, and Matthew Fallon Day of El Toro, Santa
Ana, California; daughters, Debby Thomas of Lufkin, Becky Pratt of Kingwood and
Patty Bell of Southmayd, all in Texas; brothers Harold Day of Burbank,
California, and Martin Day of Sequim, Washington; sisters. Vesta Brooks of
Gunter, Texas, Wynelle Ferner of Stockton, California, Janette Earl of Dallas,
Texas, Mary Orenduff of Melissa, Texas and Mozelle Sepulveda of Lewiston,
California; and two grandchildren. Rosary was recited at Waldo Funeral Home, Sherman. Mass of
Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with Rev. Thomas
Speiser, pastor of the church officiated. Pallbearers were members of
the local chapter of the Knights of Columbus.
