The Whitewright Sun Friday, August 8, 1913 pg. 2 DEATH AT PILOT GROVE William Allen Binion died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John Ballard, three miles south of Pilot Grove about 10 o'clock Monday morning, his death being attributed to natural causes incident to old age. He was 74 years of age and was one of the pioneer settlers of this section of Texas, coming from Kentucky in the early days. He is survived by two sons and two daughters as follows: Paul and Dave Binions and Mrs. John Ballard, who reside in the Pilot Grove vicinity and Mrs. Bob Smith who lives in West Texas. The funeral and interment took place Tuesday at Smith grave yard near Pilot Grove.
