Beall, 90, Dies at Sherman Sherman - Funeral services were held Friday afternoon in Grand Avenue Church of Christ for Lawrence Hunter Beall, 90, who died Wednesday afternoon at Wilson N. Jones Hospital. The retired farmer who made his home with his daughter, Mrs. R.L. Wiggins, in Sherman, had been ill 2 months. He was born April 29, 1870 in Montague County, Texas, and married Miss Ella [sic] Taylor January 25, 1893 in Sherman. Mrs. Beall died October 8, 1935. Beall came to Grayson County in 1888 and worked on a farm for 4 years before acquiring his own land. He retired in 1945 after farming 53 years east of Sherman. Beall became a member of the Shannon Church of Christ in 1890. Funeral services were conducted by John Pigg, Church of Christ minister of Oklahoma City, and George H. Stevenson of Lubbock. Interment was in Shannon Cemetery, directed by Barrett Funeral Home. Survivors include 3 daughters: Mrs. R.L. Wiggins, Sherman; Mrs. Ethel Frances, Dallas; Mrs. A.J. Freeman, Denison; and 4 sons, A.R. Beall of Denison; T.C. Beall of Melissa; and L.W. and F.E. Beall of Sherman. Ft. Wiggins. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at Grand Avenue Church of Christ with burial in Shannon Cemetery, northeast of Sherman. Beall was born in Montague County and came to Grayson County in 1888. He farmed east of Sherman 53 years, retiring in 1945 when he moved to Sherman. Survivors include 2 other daughters, Mrs. Ethel Frances of Dallas and Mrs. A.J. Freeman of Denison; and 4 sons, A.R. Beall of Denison; T.C. Beall of Melissa; and L.W. and F.E. Beall of Sherman.
