The Denison Press Wednesday, October 16, 1935 pg. 4 T. A. McKinney, Early Settler, Buried Today Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 Wednesday afternoon for Thomas A. McKinney, 80 years of age, who settled in this section of Grayson county more than fifty years ago. He was born in Southern Grayson near Van Alstyne February 2, 1885, receiving his schooling at that point. His parents were Mr. and Mrs. Geo. McKinney. Interment was made at Shannon cemetery, following services in the Shannon church by Rev. C.W. Hall of Pottsboro and Rev. S. King, of this city. Deceased was a member of the Christian church. Short-Murray directed the funeral. At the age of 26 he was married to Miss Debora White of Farmington to which union five sons and one daughter were born. Surviving are all children, Perry McKinney, Savanah, Oklahoma; B.C. McKinney, Pilot Point; W.H. McKinney, Sherman; H.C. McKinney, Pottsboro and T.D. McKinney, Weinert, Texas; Mrs. W.S.
