Wendy Ludlam Chilton was born April 25, 1945 in Mineral Springs, Arkansas, daughter of Ed W. and Virginia (Jones) Ludlam. She died Monday, March 29, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Shelby E. Ludlam, Gary D. Ludlam, and Tony R. Ludlam; and son, Timothy E. Martin. Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Alvin Chilton of Southmayd, Texas; son, James Martin and wife, Reagan, of Dallas; son, Erik (Rick) Martin of Gainesville, Texas; daughter, Penny Engle and husband, Kenny of Ft. Smith, Arkansas; stepson, Camron Chilton and wife, Clinette, of Sulphur Springs, Texas; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Tonya K. Thompson of Durant, Oklahoma; sister-in-law, Carol Ludlam of West Monroe, Lousiana; and many nieces and nephews. She was blessed with a "friend circle" of her high school classmates that loved like sisters - Freda Dobbs (deceased); Dot Ludlam (deceased); Sandi Caster of Sherman, Texas; Sandra Jones of Denison, Texas; and Mary Anderson of Arlington, Texas. She was also blessed with an extended family of her mother-in-law, Leila Sawyer of Sherman, Texas; and brother-in-law, Calvin (Julie) Clinton of Goodyear, Arizona. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon, April 8, 2021 at Fisher Funeral Home Chapel in Denison, conducted by Joe Lunsford, Pastor of Texas Banner Church in Holdenville, Oklahoma. Interment followed in Sadler Cemetery.
