WOMAN OF ILL HEALTH
DRINKS CARBOLIC ACID

Mrs. Parker Hall, of Whitewright,
Leaves no Explanation of the Rash Act.

Whitewright,Dec. 12. - Mrs. Parker Hall, 50 years old, died at an early hour this morning after drinking carbolic acid. Mr. Hall was awakened about two o'clock this morning by his wife's irregular breathing, and found her in an unconscious condition. Beside the bed were two bottles, one labeled carbolic acid and the other laudanum.
A physician who was summoned arrived a few minutes later and found her in a dying condition. She died about fifteen minutes after he arrived.
It is thought she mixed the two drugs, but she showed no marked symptoms of opium poisoning.
Mrs. Hall had been in ill health some months and had traveled a great deal during the past two years.  She left no explanation. She leaves
a husband and several children. Mr. Hall is a land owner and a prosperous
farmer, having lived in this city only a short time.
