  Cora E. Johnson 19 October 1890 - 14 July 1982 James R. Johnson 24 July 1889 - 19 February 1963 Mrs.
Johnson was born in Rogers, Arkansas, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John
Houston. She died at the Katy hospital in Denison, Texas.
She married James Robert Johnson on October 12, 1913 in the Pink Hill Community. He preceded her in death on February 19, 1963. Mrs. Johnson was a former resident of Savoy, Texas and a member of the Savoy First Baptist Church. Left to cherish her memory, she is survived by her sons, Weldon and James Johnson, both of Amarillo, Texas; and Clarence V. Johnson of Alaska; daughters, Mrs. Mary Hale of Midwest City, Oklahoma; and Mrs. Mickie Swaford of Denison; 19 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Memorial services were held at the Savoy First Baptist Church with Rev. James Seigler of the church, and Rev. Harold Johnson of Forest Avenue Baptist Church in Sherman, Texas, officiating. Burial followed at Rose Hill Cemetery, directed by Bratcher Funeral Home, Bells, Texas.
