Tuesday, January 24, 1961 pg.4 RITES ARE PENDING FOR ZEDDIS GRIFFITT Ambrose (Spl) - Zeddis Jose Griffitt, 18, son of Mr. and Mrs. Oran Griffitt of Ambrose, was fatally injured in a one-car accident near Denison Saturday night. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in Bells with Rev. Sam Allenbaugh and Rev. Robert Baldridge, Baptist pastors, officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery with Earnheart Funeral Home directing. Survivors are his parents; three brothers, Bobby Griffitt of Nocona Beach, Florida; Johnny Mack Griffitt stationed with the U.S. Armes Forces in Germany; and Larry Griffitt of the home in Ambrose. Griffitt was born April 23, 1942 in Bailey and attended school there and at Ambrose and Bells high schools. He had planned to enter the U.S. Armed services this week.
