  Louise Burris 15 September 1926 - Lamar Burris 12 November 1915 - 2 August 2008 wed 11 January 1947 Edgar Lamar Burris was born in the Manhuen community on November 12, 1915; he departed this life on August 2, 2008. Services for Mr. Burris were held Monday, August 4, 2008 with interment at Rose Hill Cemetery. Lamar worked for Hardwick-Etter and IBM, retiring from IBM in 1979. After his retirement, Lamar worked for Gaylean Murray in Ector and raised cattle. He loved to garden and play dominoes every Thursday at the Fireman's Hall in Bells. He was a 32 degree Mason in the Bells Masonic Lodge #798 where he received his 60-year pin. He resided in Savoy, Texas and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Savoy.
