Thursday, February 25, 1954 pg. 1 Mrs. J.C. Woodson, 85, died at her home at Bells Monday after a two-year illness. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 3 p.m. in Bells Baptist Church with Rev. Clayton Hicks and Rev. R.E. Coleman of Josephine officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery at Bells. Mrs. Woodson was born at Birdstown, Tennessee, November 10, 1868 [sic] and received her schooling there. She was married to J.C. Woodson May 30, 1888 in Cumberland City, Kentucky. She was a member of Bells Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband; five [sic] sons, Floyd R. Woodson of Bells; W.T. Woodson of Bonham; J.R. Woodson of Tom Bean; C.A. Woodson of Beaumont; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Rev. Clayton Hicks and Rev. E.C. Coleman officiated at the service and interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery with Funderburk Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Woodson was born in Birdtown, Tennessee, November 10, 1866 [sic], the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Hicks. She attended school in Birdtown and was married in Cumberland City, Kentucky, May 30, 1888 to J.W. [sic] Woodson. She was a member of the Bells Baptist church. Survivors are five sons, Floyd R. of Bells; W.T. of Bonham; J.R. of Tom Bean; C.A. of Whitewright; and Miles of Beaumont; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Lydia F.
