Thursday, May 10, 1956 pg.1 Robert J. White, 77, of Bells, died Wednesday in a Sherman hospital following a 3-months illness. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Friday at the Bells Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Clayton Hicks and Rev. Gordon Shaffer. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery at Bells, directed by Earnheart. Born March 15, 1879 in Duncan County, Missouri, he was a son of Mr. and Mrs. William P. White. He came to Texas at the age of 10 years. Surviving are his wife and 3 daughters, Mrs. M.H. Galyon of Lubbock; Mrs. A.B. Rodgers of Tom Bean; and Mrs. E.S. Keller of Garland; 6 sons, Elmer of Olton; Preston of Sherman; Daniel of Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri; A.L. of Lubbock; and Robert of Tom Bean; 3 sisters; 18 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
