Samuel A. Vaughan 1850 - 1938 Nannie I. Vaughan 1856 - 1941 Mrs. Nannie Vaughan Dies at Sherman Home
SHERMAN, Texas, May 4 - Mrs. Nannie Isabel Vaughan, 85, widow of the late S. A. Vaughan, Confederate War veteran who died in 1937, succumbed Sunday at her home here after six weeks' illness. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday. Burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery at Bells. Mrs. Vaughan had resided in Grayson County all of her life with the exception of nine years in Hunt County and four years in Fannin County. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Surviving are five sons, Will F. Vaughan, Ben Vaughan and E.E. Vaughan of Denison; H.V.Vaughan of Oklahoma City; and Mack O. Vaughan of Houston; two daughters, Mrs. J.W. Scott of Sherman and Mrs. Stella Ramsey of Houston; twenty-one grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
