Thursday, January 15, 1953 pg. 1 Funeral services for Walter M. Duncan, 67, were held at the Bells Baptist Church Monday, conducted by Rev. J.R. Henderson and Rev. Clayton Hicks. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Bells, directed by Earnheart. Mr. Duncan, for 29 years manager of the Pennington Lumber Yard at Bells, died of a heart attack Saturday afternoon. He had lived in Bells for 52 years. Survivors include his widow; four sons, M.J. of Sherman; Ralph, Roy and David, all of Bells; five daughters, Mrs. Jim Ford, Mrs. E.B. Puckett, and Mrs. Everett Watson of Bells; Mrs. T.P. Wrenn of Savoy and Mrs. Doyle Kirby of Sherman; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers, George of Bells; Leslie and Raymond of O'Brien; and one sister, Mrs. Lula Wilson of California.
