Thursday, August 19, 1954 pg. 1 Sam D. Fulton, 81, well-known farmer of this area for many years, died of a heart attack at his home two miles north of town Saturday night. He had had heart trouble for more than 10 years but never did give up and quit work. Funeral services were held at Earnheart Chapel at 5 p.m. Monday, conducted by Rev. W.W. Alverson, life-long friend of Mr. Fulton, assisted by Rev. Lee H. Smith. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery at Bells. Mr. Fulton was born August 24, 1872 at Conway, Mississippi and came to Texas with his parents, James and Susan Fulton November 23, 1883, and they settled between Bells and Whitewright. He was married to Miss Mae Knight in 1902 in Waco. As a young man he operated a business for a time in Sherman but had been a farmer for the last 50 years. He was an uncle of the late Jim Waggoner, former publisher of The Sun. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Duncan Fulton of El Paso and Edwin Fulton of Whitewright; one brother, Irving M. Fulton of Sherman; two sisters, Mrs. Annie Mae Gates and Miss Kate Fulton, both of Sherman; and one grandson. Pallbearers were Joe Kimbrough, Frank Knight, John Reeves, John Williams, John J.
