The Denison Press Monday, January 26, 1942 pg. 1 Following an illness of one month. G. Reynolds, 53-year-old Katy fireman and ex-seaman of the United States Navy, of Dallas, died this morning at 3:30 at the local M-K-T employee hospital where he had been a patient only 12 hours. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from Short-Murray chapel. Interment will be at Bells, Short-Murray directing. Mr. Reynolds was born at Whitewright, son of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Reynolds, but was reared and educated in the Bethel community, near Whitewright. After residing in the Hebron community for many years with his parents, he moved to Denison where at the age of 18 started his railroad career with the Missouri-Kansas-Texas lines in the round house. He later was advanced to fireman on the North Texas district. During World War I he was enlisted in the naval forces, serving through the duration. He has resided in Dallas the past 25 years. Surviving is a son, Walter Reynolds, Louisiana; a brother, Jas. G. Reynolds, Savoy; and a sister, Mrs. J.W. Worden, Dallas.
