 Graveside services for Barbara Abel, former Sherman resident, were held at 10:30 AM on Monday, March 25 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Bells, Texas with Minister Sam Armstrong officiating. Barbara was born on December 14, 1971 in Denison, Texas to Bobby and Delores (Isom) Reeves and passed from this life on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 in Oklahoma City at the age of 41. Barbara worked as a homemaker most of her life. When she resided in Sherman, she was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Barbara enjoyed being involved with all activities at church. In the past few years, she was a member of the Church of Christ in Elmont, Texas. At Elmont, she volunteered at the fire department helping in any way she could. Barbara loved spending time with family, especially the grandkids. She enjoyed playing Bingo, going fishing, and taking care of the puppies. Barbara was preceded in death by her grandmother. She is survived by her father, Bobby E. Reeves, Sr., of Lufkin, Texas; mother, Delores Reeves, of Ada, Oklahoma; husband, Randall Abel, of Ada, Oklahoma; sons, Chris Reeves of Dallas, Texas, and Matthew Henson of Howe, Texas; daughter, Mary Henson, of Howe, Texas; stepson, Troy Abel, of Ada, Oklahoma; stepdaughters, Paula Abel of Buffalo, Oklahoma, and Elizabeth Abel of Marlin, Texas; stepsons, Walter D. Abel of Elm Mott, Texas; Benjamin Abel of Moffit, Texas; and Aaron Hinds of Haroldton, Texas; brother Bobby Reeves, Jr. of Ada, Oklahoma; sisters, Debbie Ramirez of Ada, Oklahoma; Rebecca Reeves of Sherman, Texas; and Marie Moats of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; and grandchildren, Jon Reeves, Robert Abel, Isaac Martinez, Christina Sanders and Cheyenne Abel; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
