Thursday, February 11, 1974 pg. 8 Services were pending Wednesday at Mullican-Little Funeral Home for Lonnie L. Watson, 80, who died Tuesday morning in a local nursing home after a long illness. Mr. Watson was born in the Cherry Mound community August 4, 1890, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. M.P. Watson and he married Edna Smiley February 15, 1914 at Cherry Mound. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Church of Christ. He lived in Grayson and Fannin Counties most of his life. Allan Henderson, Church of Christ minister of Savoy, officiated with burial in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Survivors are his wife; one son, Marion Watson of Morenci, Arizona; three daughters, Mrs. Helen Anderson of Savoy; Mrs. Martha Isom of Bells; and Mrs. Jennie Dodd of Morenci, Arizona; one brother, Tom Watson of Mesa, Arizona; 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
