Bells, Texas -- Funeral services for Carl Smith, 81, of Bells were held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 11, 2005 at Mullican-Little Funeral Home with Rev. Houston Garner of Hebron Baptist Church and Rev. Carl Douglas of Dixie Frontier Church officiating.  Interment followed in Rose Hill Cemetery.  Mr. Smith passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2005 at Texoma Medical Center.
He was born September 9, 1923 in Bells, Texas to Benjamin Harrison Smith and Josie Faye Rolen Smith.  Mr. Smith graduated from Bells High School and he married Ona Mozelle Miller on August 18, 1945 in Gainesville, Texas.
Carl was a member of the Hebron Baptist Church for over 40 years and he was ordained as a Baptist minister in the 1950s.  He retired from Anderson-Clayton in 1986 after 38 years of service.  Carl faithfully served the Lord while at the Mullican Care Center in his later years.
Pallbearers were Tommy Cassidy, Nick Marlow, Scott Marlow, Brian Nichols, Leslie Wells and Mike Davis.

Carl Smith is survived by daughters, Barbara Cassidy & husband, Tommy, of Denison,Texas; Joy Marlow & husband, Nick, of Stillwater, Oklahoma; and Brenda Justice of Rancho Cucamonga, California; son, Frank Martin & wife, Jean, of Sadler, Texas; brother, Bobby Earl Smith; grandchildren, Doc, Scott, Lee Ann, Vicki, Sherri, Kim, Amber, Kyla, Joe and Sam; great-grandchildren, Brandon, Chris, Jacob, Jordan, Amanda, Kristi, Joshua, Christopher, Jake, Austin, Travis and Madelyn; and great-great-grandchild, Dakota.
Carl Smith was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brothers, Robert, James Marvin and Harold Dean Smith; and sister, Ruby Duncan. - - - Mullican-Little Funeral Home
