Earle Sears, long time resident of Bells, Texas, went to heaven on
Monday, June 10, 2013. She would have been 95 years old on June 13th.
Edna Earle was born to the late Blanche and Earl Moore in Bells, Texas, in 1918. Edna Earle would often tell the story of her birth in her childhood home that still stands today. Edna Earle was a graduate of Bells High School. She married the late William Thomas (W.T.) Sears II on January 1, 1941. Edna Earle had a 25 year long career at the First National Bank at Bells where she was a teller. She loved her work and especially enjoyed visiting with all her customers at the drive through window. Edna Earle was a "people person." Her outgoing personality and fondness for games such as Bridge and 42 will be remembered by her many friends. Edna Earle was the 2nd oldest member of the Bells United Methodist Church. Of this fact, she was quite proud. Edna Earle is survived by two sons: Bill and David Sears of Bells; her daughter-in-law Clara Sears; and an abundance of grandchildren. Her grandchildren include Rob & DeAn Jeffrey; Paul & Misty Thompson; Matt & Dava Washburn; Christopher "T" Sears; & Danny & Brittni Stanphill. Her great-grandchildren include Jentry & Brett Little; Bandy & Melanie Jeffrey; Whitney Jeffrey; Khloe Thompson; Peyton Washburn; Carder Washburn; Reid Washburn; Coy Stanphill and Cale Stanphill. Edna Earle had 4 great-great-granchildren. They are Cash, Laykin and Logan Little; and Ansley Jeffrey. Edna Earle had a loving extended family which included her nephew Lynn Calvert. The grandsons of Edna Earle served as pallbearers. All are invited to join the family in a celebration of the life of Edna Earle Sears at the Bells United Methodist Church on Thursday, June 13th at 10:00 am.
