Joseph Lee "Joe" Lowry 7 July 1949 - 8 July 2016 Hazel Marie Radican Lowry 11 July 1949 - Joseph Lee Lowry 7 July 1949 - 8 July 2016 US Army Vietnam Funeral Services for Joseph Lee Lowry, 67, of Whitesboro, Texas, were held Monday, July 11, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at Meador Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Marvin Lowry officiating. Interment followed at Rose Hill Cemetery, Bells, Texas. He passed away at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas, on Friday, July 8, 2016, with his family and friends by his side. He was born to Charles and Bonnie Mae (York) Lowry on July 7, 1949, in Collinsville, Texas. He married Marie (Radican) Lowry on June 7, 1969, in Bells, Texas. Joe was a Vietnam Vet having served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 100, and also a member of Midway Baptist Church in Pilot Point, Texas. He loved to hunt, fish and play horseshoes. He loved riding around on the golf cart and tractor with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Marie Lowry of Whitesboro; 2 daughters, Christine Hernandez, and husband, Robert, of Garland; and Lisa Hite and husband, Scott, of Pilot Point, Texas; grandchildren, Adrian and Mila Hernandez and Ethan, Addison and Emerson Hite; brothers, Jimmy Lowry and wife, Lisa, of Colbert, Oklahoma; and Paul Lowry of Whitesboro, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Bonnie Lowry; and a brother, Pat Lowry. Pallbearers were Robert Hernandez, Scott Hite, Lesley York, Micheal York, Troy York, Travis York, and Johnny Mitcheson.
