SAVOY - Services for Ruby Cross, 88-year-old Savoy resident, were held at 11 a.m. Monday at Mullican-Little Funeral Chapel. Ruby passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at G.P. Nursing & Rehab Center in Grand Prairie. Burial followed at Rose Hill Cemetery in Bells.
Mrs. Cross was born September 24, 1922 in Ector, daughter of Herman Jinks and Emma Dees Jinks. She married Ervin Franklin Cross on January 23, 1947 in Sherman. Ruby was a member of the First Baptist Church of Savoy and was retired from the First National Bank of Bells as a cashier.
Surviving are her sons, Eugene Cross of Irving; and Donald Cross and wife, Kay, of Grand Prairie; daughter, Tommy Dee Singleton and husband, Tim, of Van Alstyne; sisters, Tommie Hodges and husband, Bob, of Savoy; and Frances Baldwin of Yoakum; 8 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Larry Cross, Kenneth House, Lane House, Michael Cross, Vincent Young and Tyler Goar.
