Chambers, Jr. of Bells. Perry passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at Homestead of Sherman. Perry was born October 16, 1927 in Denton, Texas to parents, Perry Chambers and Celia (McKelvey)Chambers. He married Robbie Francis Taylor on February 23, 1951 in Dallas, Texas. He was a graduate of the class of 1945 of Sherman High School. He was a member of the Bells United Methodist Church and was a Toll Switchman for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for 37 years. He served his country in the United States Navy during World War II, serving on the USS St. Louis. He was also a 60 Year Master Mason and member of the American Legion. Perry is survived by his son, Gary Chambers of Tom Bean; grandson, Gary Chambers, Jr. and his wife, Somer of Tom Bean and their baby daughter, Joy. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Robbie; and sister, Jeannette Steen. The funeral service will be at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, September 5, 2015 at the Bells United Methodist Church with Reverend Steve Martinez officiating. Masonic Services will be held at the graveside at Rose Hill Cemetery, conducted by Bells Masonic Lodge #898. The family will greet friends at the Mullican-Little Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, September 4, 2015.
