Bells - Our beloved Mother, Grandmother and Friend, Alice Nantz Mangrum of Bells, passed away on June 3, 1996. She
was born May 6, 1910 in Oran, Texas.
Services were held Wednesday, June 5th, at Millican-Little Funeral Chapel in Bells, Texas with interment at Rose Hill Cemetery. The Rev. James Truitt of the Word of Life Church in Sherman officiated.
Mrs. Mangrum was retired from the SNAP Center in Bells, and the Atoka, Oklahoma Hospital. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Harlingen, Texas.
She is survived by sons, Jerry Mangrum Jr. of Whitewright and Leon Mangrum of Bells; daughters, Katherine Burgess and Carolyn Hudson, both of Bells and Betty Beckwith of Sherman; a brother, Mose Nantz of Ranger; sisters, Pearl McNurland of Ranger and Nellie Lemons of Kerriville; 13 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
