Texas - Funeral services for Albert B. Farrow, age 85 of Denison, were
scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 12, 2003 at Mullican-Little Funeral Home
in Bells. Pastor Loren A. DuBois officiated and interment was
at Rose Hill Cemetery in Bells. Mr. Farrow passed away Wednesday, December
10, 2003, at his home in Denison.
He was born on December 19, 1917, in Molden, Missouri, son of Arthur Farrow and Bonnie Stocks Farrow and he married Betty Jinks in Columbia City, Indiana on October 20, 1945. Mr. Farrow worked as a postal employee and retired from International Harvester Co. in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. He was a lower turret gunner on a B-17 for the U.S. Army /Air Corps during World War II in the 8th Army. He was held for 23 months as a Prisoner of War after being shot down and captured by the Germans. Joe Frank Willard Jr. is survived by his wife, Betty Farrow of Denison, Texas; son, Art Farrow and his wife, Pamela, of Whitewright, Texas; daughter, Bonnie Gentry and her husband, Steve, of Flower Mound, Texas; sister, Elizabeth Carroll of New Braunfels, Texas; 7 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Denison, Texas - Betty passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at her home in rural Grayson County, Texas.
Betty was born on January 29, 1922 in North Manchester, Wabash County, Indiana to Joseph V. and Mary Craver Jinks. Betty was united in marriage to Albert Barry Farrow on October 20, 1945 in Columbia City, Indiana. Betty retired on February 1, 1983 from General Electric Company after 21 years of service at the Ft. Wayne, Indiana plant. After retiring, Betty spent her leisure time traveling with her husband and oil painting. Betty was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Bonham, Texas. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Mary Jinks; and her husband, Albert Barry Farrow. Betty is survived by her daughter, Bonnie P. Gentry of Columbia City, Indiana; her son, Arthur B. Farrow and wife, Pamela Sue, of Whitewright, Texas; grandchildren; Shaun Fournier and wife, Kimberly' Arthur C. Farrow and wife, Billie; Aaron C. Farrow and wife, Helena; Austin C. Farrow and wife, Valerie; Alexander C. Farrow; Ajha C. Farrow; Bradley Fournier; Michelle Smith and husband, Roy; great grandchildren; Sidney Farrow, Nathaniel Farrow, Jayden Farrow, Kali Strack; and great-great grandchildren; Rayden, Zander and Mikynlie Strack. Funeral services for Betty were held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 8, 2017 at Mullican-Little Funeral Chapel in Bells/Savoy, Texas. Burial followed in Rose Hill Cemetery.
