Sharkey Watson went to meet his Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 8, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 6, 1928 in Bailey, Texas to Everett and Sally Reece Watson. He married Goldia June Duncan on June 17, 1951.
Graveside services were held at 2:00PM on Monday, November 10, 2014 at Rose Hill Cemetery. Mr. Gary Byrne officiated.
Sharkey is survived by his wife of 63 years; son of Bells; daughter of Durant, Oklahoma; 7 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Everett was well known in the Whitewright community where he was known as a pool shark. He always had a smile for everyone. In later years he served the community in the lumber business where he was always willing to help anyone
with their needs.
Everett served in the U.S. Army/Air Corp during World War II and was a member of the Church of Christ. Everett was a loving father and husband and will be sorely missed.
