A man who registered at the Matthews House, Sherman, as J.H. Fitch, Yoakum, committed suicide to-day by taking a dose of strychnine.
Deceased was about 35 years of age.  He left letters to a sister and brother at Yoakum.  The suicide had drank freely since his arrival in the city last Thursday.
