The crazy man who was arrested and taken to
Sherman said his name was J.F. Studdard and
that his mother resides in Caddo parish,
Louisiana.
He had in his possession a letter addressed
to "J.F. Studdard, Ferrit [sic], Ellis
county, Texas." The letter was mailed
at Dallas, May 9, 1884. The poor
fellow is hopelessly insane. He is
about 33 years old.
