Friday, November 12, 1897 - Mrs.
James McMillen went to Terrell last week
to visit her husband. She was
delighted to find him very much improved,
and it was a great pleasure for him to
greet his wife and baby. He wanted
to return with them, but the doctor in
charge advised him to remain a month or 6
weeks longer, assuring him he would soon
be all right, and could return in time to
be with his family Christmas. To
this he readily assented, as he has the
utmost confidence in the doctor's
judgment. Jim's friends in Denison
will be delighted to learn that.

Thursday, June 28 - Troy McMillin went
down to Terrell to visit his brother Jim
the first of the week. The asylum
physician assured him that his brother had
been slowly but steadily improving for the
past 2 or 3 weeks and that there was hope
of his ultimate recovery. He is poor
in the flesh. One arm is very much
emanciated and he has but little use of
the hand. He has, however, improved
mentally, talked intelligently and seemed
perfectly reconciled to remain at the
asylum.
