Monday, August 29, 1921 pg. 1 WOMAN, BELIEVED TO BE INSANE, REVEALS IDENTITY TO POLICE She is Eva LeMoignan of Duluth, Minnesota, Officers Told A white woman giving her name as Eva LeMoignan of Duluth, Minnesota, was placed in jail Sunday morning following a call to the police department at 6 o'clock that a strange woman was sleeping in a coal box in the rear of the Denison Telephone company. The efforts of 3 men were required in carrying the woman to jail. After being placed in a cell she became quiet. Efforts to make her talk were futile until about 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon when several women began questioning her. The woman gave her name as Eva LeMoignan of Duluth, Minnesota, and stated that her father, Joseph LeMoignan was a state grain inspector of that state. She stated that she was on her way to Ft. Worth. A through ticket from Duluth to Ft. Worth was found in her hand bag. After talking with the women for several minutes the woman again became uncontrollable. Dr. W.T. Booth, city health officer, was called and administered treatment. Later in the day when approached by Chief of Police Russell, she told the chief she would talk if he would give her air. The chief opened the cell door and the woman made a break for liberty. She was finally captured by firemen at Central Station. Chief Russell wired to the address given by the woman and a return message stated that her father was leaving immediately for... According to police, the woman appears to be well educated and about 40 years of age. She is suffering from insanity, they say. She was dressed in a plain dress but a suit case belonging to her contained a number of...dresses and other wearing apparel. The woman had $11 in money. Susan Hawkins
