Thursday - Engineer Ben
Murphy charged with bigamy, appeared in Judge Cook's court for a preliminary
trial, but when he found that a certified copy of his first marriage
certificate, on record in Washington county, Ark., had been received by
the assistant county attorney, he waived examination and was bound
over to the district court, his bond being fixed at $400. He
was taken at once to Sherman and lodged in jail.

weeks ago at the instigation of his wife, who
came here from Washington county, Arkansas, plead
guilty in the district court at Sherman
Monday, and was sentenced to
two and a half years in the penitentiary.
