Fate of Grayson Farmer in Jury Hands; Suspended
Sentence Defense Plea.
Sherman- Oct 20- The Case of Claude L Bond,
Grayson County Farmer charged with killing
W M Claybrook, a cotton picker, a year ago, went
to the jury in the Fifteenth District Court here
late today. Bond pleaded self-defense and also
asked for a suspended sentence, in the event of
conviction.

Give Claud Bond 20 years
Claud Bond was given twenty years Friday
afternoon by a jury in the Fifteenth District
Court at Sherman for killing of W M Claybrook.
Both men were farmers, and the killing occurred
in a field of cotton north of Denison, Nov 17,
1925
