Sherman, Tex., Riley Bell was assassinated by an unknown party early this morning in North Sherman. His head was badly cut while asleep. The body was discovered by his parents. No Clue.

Late this afternoon Riley Bell recovered consciousness, but does not have the slightest remembrance of the terrible assault on his life last night. His skull is crushed, but a fuller examination disclosed or even involved, and the attending physicians now have strong hopes of his ultimate recovery.

Riley Bell, the Sherman assaulted in his room, will recover. He was
not killed as at first report.
