Hints; sometimes if you know the adopted child's
name from before he was adopted. You can sometimes look
in the census's and see if you can spot them in an orphanage.
That opens up where records may be found.

Hint; Many times adopted children received an amended birth certificate after adoption. In half of the US you can fill out a court petition to have the original forms information released. You must check the Grayson County Clerks office to know what court you need. It is different in other counties. Different time periods also change the offices where the documents are filed. But Remember birth certificates only started in 1903.

Hint; for lists of orphanages in Texas, consult city and counties directories, for the period you need.
