Sunday, August 5, 1888 pg. 2 POTTSBORO PICKINGS Pottsboro, Aug. 2, '88 Our citizens were shocked to learn of the sudden death of Thos. Williams on Tuesday night last, after a brief illness of three days. He was a propserous farmer living a few miles north-east of town, and an honored member of the Masonic fraternity, which society took charge of and conducted the funeral. He had a mother living at Waco and a brother who is an engineer on the H & T C R R . They were both wired the sad news, but did not arrive in time to attend the funeral.
