After the accident he lived several hours. Mr. Maratta was conducting an aged sister, Mrs. Agness, to her home in PIttsburgh, Pennsylvania. She is so much affected that her life is despared of, and she is at present in a hospital at Vincennes. Billy Maratta's sad death will be greatly lamented by a large circle of friends. He was known most intimately to the pioneers, having cast his lot here about 1874. We don't know of a man more calculated to make friends than the deceased, He has been connected with a number of places of business in Denison and always made friends for his employers. He was a resident for some time of Preston Bend.
