  Donald "Buddy" Herman Cunningham, 44, passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Texoma Medical Center. Buddy was born october 5, 1973 in Denison, Texas, son of Donald Eugene and Lois Ryon Cunningham. He enjoyed many things although he was born with spina bifida, he didn't let it hold him back. Buddy had many hobbies; he liked to cook on the grill, go fishing, camping and raising farm animals, especially chickens, and to watch football and drag racing. He loved spending time with his family. He was a member of God's House Full Gospel. Although his passing leaves a void in all their lives, he will live on forever in their hearts. Buddy is survived by his family: mother, Lois Company and husband, William, of Sherman, Texas; loved like a second mom, Jeanie Ryon of Sherman; loved like a daughter, Sarah Bailey of Sherman; brother, Jimmy Cunningham of Sherman, Texas, and his children, Scooter Cunningham, Adam Cunningham and Shelby Cunningham, all of Pottsboro; brother, John Paul Simmons and wife, Michelle, of Sherman, Texas; sister, Ruth Schores of Sherman; fiance, Jamie Edwards of Sherman; uncles, Bobby Cunningham of Tyler, Texas and Danny Cunningham and wife, Terry, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; several nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents, Earnest and Shirley Ryon and Robert Cunningham and Peggy Clark; brother, Shawn Velie; aunt, Kathy Marr and husband, Joe; cousin, Marvin Marr. Funeral services were held Monday, August 27, 2018 at Fisher Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Robert Fields officiating. Pallbearers were Joe Dale Lynch, John Paul Simmons, Scooter Cunningham, Adam Cunningham, Dave Ridgedell, Shane Crowell and honorary pallbearer, Clinton Nunley. Interment followed in Preston Bend Cemetery in Pottsboro.
