  The Herald Democrat May 12, 2011 Sherman - Funeral services for Georgia Lynn Lindsey, age 57, of Sherman, Texas will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 13, 2011 at the Covenant Church located at 4100 N. Travis in Sherman. Burial will follow at the Preston Bend Cemetery. Pastor James deMelo will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home. Lynn went to be with the Lord on May 20, 2011. She was at home surrounded by family. She was born on January 1, 1954, in Ft. Worth, Texas, the daughter of George and Mary Ashmore McBurnett. After graduating high school, she attended college and received her degree in Cosmetology. She was a very active member of Covenant Church, serving as a Children's Pastor for many years and most recently serving as an Elder. Lynn is survived by her husband, Stephen Lindsey of Sherman; two sons, Landon Lindsey of Sherman and Lance Lindsey of McKinney, Texas; grandson, taylor Lindsey; granddaughter, Madison Lindsey; brother, Clifford McBurnett and wife Clarita of Garland, Texas; mother, Mary McBurnett of Savoy, Texas; and nephew, Larry McBurnett of Garland. She is also survived by numerous extended family and many friends. She was preceded in death by her father and one brother. Family night will be held on Thursday, May 12th from 7 to 9 p.m. at Waldo Funeral Home, Sherman. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Home Hospice of Grayson County, 505 W.
