Anthony Joseph "Tony" Gawrych was born September 27, 1942, son of Joseph Gawrych and Calista Grimm in Southfield, Michigan.  He entered the gates of heaven on September 11, 2023 in Denison, Texas.
Tony grew up in Michigan and joined the Air Force as a young man, where he served for 4 years. After his service in the military, his family settled in Pottsboro, Texas.   He worked at Johnson & Johnson until retirement. Tony loved working on old classic cars, collecting and listening to his favorite record albums and fishing on Lake Texoma with his family.
Tony was a well-loved member of the American Legion Post 231 Pottsboro, Texas.
He is survived in death by his son, Edward of Pottsboro; granddaughter, Lauren, of Denison; grandson, Kyle, of Pottsboro; brother, John of Michigan; 4 great-granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by son, Steven; parents; brothers, Niles and Jim; and sisters, Ann and Barbara.
Tony was a loving father and Pawpaw.
Graveside services were held Wednesday morning, September 13, 2023 at Fisher Funeral Home, Denison.
