  Juanita Morrow Hughes 26 December 1932 - 28 July 2001  Patrick Henry "Pat" Hughes, 83, of Pottsboro passed away in Sherman on Friday, January 6, 2012.
Graveside services for Mr. Hughes were held Tuesday morning, January 10, 2012 at Preston Bend Cemetery in Pottsboro with Pastor Leland Samuelson officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Dannel Funeral Home. Pat was born in Houston on April 14, 1928, son of Patrick Henry Hughes, Sr. and Johnnie Murphy Hughes. He was educated in the public schools and graduated from the University of Texas. A veteran of the Korean War, he married Juanita Morrow on December 27, 1952. He was a retired school teacher. Pat was preceded in death by his parents and his wife. He is survived by two sons: Mark Hughes and Gary Hughes and wife, Cathy, of Pottsboro; daughter, Lee Ann Hughes of Pottsboro; grandchildren: Amber Kirby and Andy Gunn; 3 great-grandchildren; brother, Judge John N. Hughes and wife, Judge Jean Hughes, of Houston; former sister-in-law, Billie Hughes of Katy. Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, Sherman, Texas or Heart to Heart Hospice, Lewisville, Texas.
