Friday, September 13, 1957 pg. 6 Funeral services for Mrs. Amanda Emma Mullins, 83, were held at Funderburk Chapel Tuesday, September 10 at 2 p.m., with Rev. Ed Broome officiating. Interment was in Preston Bend Cemetery with Funderburk in charge. Pallbearers were Garland Mullins, Pete Jones, Leonard Austin, P.B. Lindsey, Benton Helms and Sidney Helms, all grandsons of the deceased. Mrs. Mullins died at her home, 806 N. Maurice, Sunday, September 8 at 9:30 p.m. after 10 years of ill health. She had lived in Denison for 8 years, coming here from Preston Bend. She was born in Texas June 8, 1875, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jim L. Smith. She was a member of the Pottsboro Baptist Church. Survivors are a son, Jess Mullins, Southmayd; 2 daughters, Mrs. Lela Helm and Miss Frances Mullins, Denison; and 24 grandchildren.
