ALICE WORBES DIES IN HOSPITAL AT SHERMAN Special to The News Sherman, Texas, July 30 - Mrs. Alice Worbes, 50, a resident of Grayson County for 50 years, died Saturday night at a local sanitarium. She was born in Missouri November 19, 1882 and was the daughter of the late Lewis F. Dawson. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Funeral services were held sunday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. at the Providence Baptist Church at Preston Bend, with services conducted by Rev. Ray Short of Pottsboro. Burial was in Coffee Chapel. Surviving are her husband, S.W. Worbes; five sons, Charlie of Preston Bend; Russell of Kemp, Oklahoma; Fred of Nincokah, Oklahoma; Cecil of Kaufman; and Eddie of Terrell; three daughters, Mrs. Annie James of Nincokah, Oklahoma; Mrs. Fay Kelley of Preston Bend; and Mrs. Myrtle May Worbes of Preston Bend; two sisters, Mrs. Mollie Mutz and Mrs. Sarah Earl, both of Nincokah, Oklahoma. She is also survived by 27 grandchildren.
