Thursday, January 29, 1970 pg.7 Harold Dean Mitchell, born and reared at Desert, died over-seas, and his body is being returned here. He was a grandson of A.L. Vandagriff, deceased, of Whitewright. His survivors include a wife and children; his father, Aubrey Mitchell, of Farmers Branch; his grandmother, Mrs. Tackett of Desert; and many uncles and aunts in this vicinity. The Dallas Morning News June 10, 2012 Arthur Nathinial Mitchell was born on May 23, 1932 and went to be with our heavenly father on June 6, 2012. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Wanda Nell Mitchell and his sister Janelle Harbison. They had three children Kathy Felton, Barry Mitchell and John Mitchell and their spouses. He had four grandchildren Kera, Krystal, Sarah and Sarah Virginia. He worked at the DFW airport as the weather man up until the day he passed away. He was a air traffic controller for 40 years and was in the Air Force in his younger years. Long time member of the First Baptist Church in Farmers Branch Tx. Art was a devoted Christian and family man. Art never met a stranger and adored his children and grandchildren. His passion was making sure his family was happy and well taken care of. He will be missed terribly. Visitation will be held in the Parlor at First Baptist Church in Farmers Branch, Tx Sunday, June 10, 2012 from 3-5 in the afternoon. Funeral Services will be at the First Baptist Church in Farmers Branch, TX Monday, June 11, 2012 at 10 am with burial to follow at Pilot Grove Cemetery in Grayson County.
