John Charles Sowell was born June 5, 1988 in Dallas, Texas to Charles Colin Sowell and Pamela Gayle Forsman Sowell.
He died Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Wilson N. Jones Hospital in Sherman, Texas at the age of 26. He was a resident
of Sherman, Texas.
John was a graduate of Whitewright High School, an Eagle Scout and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Whitewright. He was an employee of Eaton in Sherman.
He is survived by mother, Pam Simpson and husband, Bob, of Whitewright; brother, Curtis Sowell and wife, LeAnn, of Arlington; sister, Christine Davis and husband, Marcellus, and nephew, Collin Davis of Houston; fiance, Natalie Simpson
and her son, Karson, of Whitewright.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles "Chuck" Sowell and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, January 24, 2015 at First United Methodist Church, Whitewright, Texas. Officiating the service was Rev. Frank Rahm, Kenneth Phillips and Norm Wakeland. Burial followed at Pilot Grove Cemetery in Pilot Grove, Texas. Pallbearers were Joel Luper, Keith Jackson, Justin Carter, Josh "Walton" Clarke, Steven Ray, and John Stephens. Honorary Pallbearer was Taylor McKinney.
