Edith Mae Sears Holloway was born August 30, 1918 in Whitewright, Texas to Homer Head Sears and Maggie Lee Sears. She married James Truett "Bill" Holloway on October 18, 1941 in Whitewright. She died Friday, April 11, 2014 at Texas Health Presbyterian WNJ Hospital in Sherman, Texas at the age of 95. She was a life long resident of Whitewright, Texas.
Edith Mae was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Whitewright.
She is survived by son, Mike Holloway and wife Patricia of Whitewright; son, John Holloway and wife Claudia of Whitewright; son, Gary Holloway and wife Cynthia of Whitewright; daughter, Susan Mayfield and husband Loy of Whitesboro; sister, Guyla Wren Sears of Whitewright; 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill Holloway; parents, Homer and Maggie Sears; brother, Homer Lee Sears; sister, Mary Jo Newman; and one grandson.
Graveside Services will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at Pilot Grove Cemetery, Pilot Grove, Texas. Officiating the service will be Rev. Mike Rutledge.
In Lieu of Flowers, memorials may be made to the Whitewright Public Library, or to the First Presbyterian Church of Whitewright.
