Thursday, June 1, 1972 pg. 6 E.B. Dixon, age 80, passed away Sunday night, May 28, 1972, at 7:55 p.m. in Sherman Community Hospital. Services were held at Earnheart Funeral Chapel at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 31, with Rev. Howard McSpadden officiating. Burial was in Pilot Grove Cemetery. Mr. Dixon was born December 29, 1891 in Randolph, the son of James and Harriet Dixon. He married Miss Onie Sloan on July 27, 1913 in the Bethel community. He is survived by his wife of Bells; one son, J.B. of Whitewright; one daughter, Mrs. G.B. McCasland of Whitewright; one sister... The Whitewright Sun Thursday, June 14, 1974 pg.9 MRS. BRUCE DIXON SERVICES TO BE HELD SUNDAY Bells - Mrs. Bruce Dixon, 82, died in a Sherman hospital Thursday, June 13, 1974. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Earnheart Funeral chapel with Rev. Douglas Rymer, Baptist minister of Whitewright, officiating. Burial will be in Pilot Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Dixon was born December 22, 1891 in the Bethel community. She married Bruce Dixon in Bethel July 27, 1913. He preceded her in death May 28, 1972. She was a member of the Baptist church. Survivors are one son, J.B. Dixon of Whitewright; one brother, Lucian Sloan of Slaton; four sisters, Mrs. Florence Badgett of Floydada; Mrs. Alpha Rhoads of Slaton; Mrs. Ellen Holland of Whitesboro; and Mrs. Faye Garland of Sherman; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
