Waldrop 1905 - 1945 The Whitewright Sun Thursday, January 3, 1946 pg. 8 Funeral services for Cecil C. Waldrop, who died at a Sherman hospital at 1:30 a.m. Saturday following two weeks illness, were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the First Baptist Church with Rev. E.P. Wootten, pastor, officiating. Interment was at Pilot Grove Cemetery, directed by Glen Earnheart. Pallbearers were B.R. Caraway, Ned Ayres, W.T. Kelley, Chas. Kaiser, Charles Burchfield, and Henry A. Bow. Mr. Waldrop had resided in Whitewright several years, moving here from Pilot Grove. He was employed by the Whitewright schools as bus driver. Mr. Waldrop was born March 17, 1905, in Grayson County. He was the son of Mrs. Joseph C. Waldrop, who survives, and the late Mr. Waldrop. He was married to Miss May Smith October 21, 1928 at Whitewright. He was a member of the Pilot Grove Baptist Church. In addition to the wife and mother, other survivors include three sisters, Mrs. R.S. Adams of Dallas; Mrs. Joe Miller and Mrs. W.O. Young, both of Whitewright; and two brothers, Jarvis Waldrop of Whitewright and Noel Waldrop of Lubbock.
