  Emma St. John 24 September 1850 - 29 May 1932 Henry St. John 7 July 1854 - 21 June 1937 The Whitewright Sun Thursday, June 24, 1937 pg.4 Funeral services for J.H. St. John, 82, were held Tuesday morning at the Pilot Grove Methodist Church, conducted by Rev. J. Roy Williams, pastor. Music was arranged by Mrs. Jewel Hopper. Burial was in Pilot Grove Cemetery. Mr. St. John died Monday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. E.C. Harrell at Royse City, with whom he had resided for 23 years. He was born July 7, 1854, near Nashville, Tennessee. He was married to Miss Emma Kirk on December 2, 1877 in Tennessee and brought his family to Texas 45 years ago. They lived at Pilot Grove for a number of years where the family is well known. Mrs. St. John died five [sic] years ago. He was a member of the Methodist Church. Surviving are three sons, S.C. St. John of Chisholm; Fred St. John of Iraan; and D.H. St. John of Royse City; and two daughters, Mrs. G.T. Richards of Tyler and Mrs. E.C. Harrell Royse City.
