Mr. Joe Worden
Died, at his residence near Pilot Grove, on Oct. 24th, Mr. Joe Worden, in his 66th year. He came to Texas in 1844 with his father. His remains were taken through the portals of that home where he had ruled as husband, Father and friend, and laid in the Pilot Grove Cemetery. Eld. J.W. Connelly conducted the funeral services. The moon and stars will bathe the lap of earth with mellow light; the night birds will chant their songs unrestrained above his head, while he sleeps the sleep of death.
