BURIED HERE FRIDAY
The body of Jas. W. Perkinson, who died in New Mexico, was shipped to this city
for interment at Pilot Grove cemetery.
The remains arrived last Friday and were taken in charge by local
undertakers and conveyed to Pilot Grove, where Rev. Bridges, the Methodist
minister, conducted funeral services.
The decedent was a nephew of
Mrs. M.J. Long of this place. He formerly resided in the Pilot Grove community,
but had moved to Mexico with the hope of finding permanent cure for tuberculosis
in the higher altitudes.
